E-House model by GE Mining

We recently had the opportunity to collaborate with Mark, from Benchmark Model Making, a local Model maker, for two different projects.

One project was for General Electric Mining Australia. They commissioned to Mark a scaled model of their 'E-House': a mobile power station for the Australian Mining Industry.

We were asked to design the lighting effects and the user interface design and development.

The model is currently in Las Vegas at the MinExpo International 2016.

Every command is managed through a touch LCD display just at the outside of the unit. The user can turn on and off the lights and can manage the Breaker. Every command activates a different (and sometimes unexpected) light effect inside the model.

Mark, the Model Maker, has done an amazing job. Inside the unit there's even a little office, with a desk, a chair and a little library.
